Do you guys think that babies NEED to wear shoes when they are learning to walk. My mom yells at me all the time for my baby not wearing shoes or socks but If she has them on she cant really lift her feet n just crawls. Or she will just pull it all off 🤷🏾♀️

— Nope it’s actually recommended they learn WITHOUT shoes
— My pediatrician told me it’s better for them to learn barefoot. And when you do buy shoes, they need to be soft sole. Until they master walking. My son was walking at nine months, I didn’t actually buy him his first pair shoes until 10 months.
— My son never wears shoes unless we are out, but at home he’s usually bare foot. And he walked fine
— @badmomanonymous, @_sheriee, Thanks! My mom bought her some heavy walking shoes that go up her ankles . She just can't lift them lol I never really bother with shoes in the house.
— It's better to learn without shoes. A lot of parents like stride light brand because they're super light. We only wear shoes when walking in public.
— Nope . My son learned to walk better without shoes . My MIL stayed trying to tell my husband to put shoes on my son, I ignored it of course🙄
— I refuse to buy shoes until he’s fully walking. I don’t see a point in spending money on them if they aren’t going to be fully used.
— My mother would pressure me too. My MIL would pressure me to use a walker. Did neither! My daughter learned how to walk barefoot without a walker at 9 months. Her first pair of shoes were stride rite sneakers.
— They learn faster barefoot cause they can grip there toes on the floor. My daughters walking kinda already. But when we’re out an about she has shoes on.
— My mother and mil were on me bout the “ walking shoes “ but my daughters doing great 💓
— Oh wow I had no idea it was better to learn barefoot. My mom told me it was better with shoes plus it is also teaching them to keep their shoes on too when they go out . 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
